Natural gas - An environmentally friendly energy source

The E.ON Elektrárne s.r.o. plant has been designed as a combined cycle power plant with an efficiency of 58%. The high efficiency results from the combination of a gas turbine system and a steam turbine system. In addition, natural gas is an extremely environmentally friendly energy source with comparatively modest CO₂ emission levels. Of fossil fuels, such as crude oil, lignite or coal, natural gas has the lowest emission levels. It is almost entirely sulphur-free, and it contains neither fluorine nor chlorine.
